Custom Field Reports
See how customers answer your waiver questions — dropdown distributions over time and top text field responses at a glance
Your custom waiver fields collect valuable data — "How did you hear about us?", "Company Name", referral sources. The Custom Fields view turns those answers into visual reports so you can spot marketing trends and understand your customer mix without touching a spreadsheet.
Go to Insights in the sidebar and select the Custom Fields tab.
Dropdown fields
Each dropdown field appears as a card with the field name as heading and date range in the top-right.
The card has two sections:
- Stacked bar chart (left, hidden on mobile) — Each bar represents a time period with color-coded segments by option. Hover to see the breakdown for that date.
- Data table (right) — Lists each option with a color swatch, percentage, and total count.
Example: If you have a "How did you hear about us?" dropdown with options like Google, Friend, Social Media, and Walk-in, the stacked bar chart shows how the mix shifts over time — so you can see if a recent marketing push actually moved the needle.
Text fields
Each text field shows the top 10 most common answers:
- Label — The answer text, with a color swatch
- Percentage — Share of total responses
- Count — Number of times this answer appeared
- Inline bar (hidden on mobile) — Horizontal bar relative to the most common answer
Responses beyond the top 10 are grouped into an Other row in gray.
Empty state
If no custom field data exists for the selected period, a message explains that no data was collected. Try a longer time range like All Time.
Pro Tip: Review the Custom Fields tab monthly to check whether your marketing channels are shifting. If "Google" referrals are declining while "Friend" referrals are growing, your word-of-mouth is working — and you might want to invest more in referral incentives.
Behind the Scenes: The Custom Fields view queries player records for the selected period. Only players with at least one non-empty custom text or dropdown value are included — checkbox fields are not shown. For dropdowns, options with zero responses across the period are excluded and remaining options sort by count descending. For text fields, the API takes the top 10 by count and sums the rest into "Other". The room filter is not available in this view — data includes all rooms.
