Facebook Photo Posting Setup

Automatically post branded group photos to your Facebook business page after every game — organized into albums with custom captions

Every completed game with photos can automatically post to your Facebook business page — organized into date-based albums with captions tailored to each room and outcome. Your page stays active with fresh content without anyone manually uploading photos.

What you get

  • Automatic photo posting — Group photos post to your Facebook page when a game is completed. No manual uploading.
  • Date-based albums — Photos are uploaded to matching daily, weekly, or monthly albums on your page (albums must already exist on Facebook).
  • Custom captions — Set per-room caption templates with success and fail variants so every post has relevant copy.
  • Feed visibility — Optionally push photos to your page's feed so they appear in followers' newsfeeds.

Connect your account

1
Start the connection

Go to IntegrationsFacebook in the sidebar and click Connect. You'll be redirected to Facebook to authorize Escape Kit.

2
Select your page

After authorizing, choose your business page from the Page to use dropdown, then click Connect.

3
Configure album frequency

Choose how photos are organized — Daily, Weekly (Monday through Sunday), or Monthly. Click Save.

4
Enable feed posting (optional)

Check Auto post photos to your page's feed when group is completed to have photos appear as feed posts visible to your followers. Click Save.

Pro Tip: Enable auto-post to feed for maximum visibility. Album photos are organized but don't appear in followers' newsfeeds. Feed posts do — putting your team photos in front of the people who follow your page.

Custom photo captions

Click Manage Captions to configure per-room caption templates (default, success, fail). Each room has three caption types: Default, Success (when the group escapes), and Fail (when they don't). Leave success or fail empty to fall back to the default.

Album frequency

Frequency Album name format Example
Daily MM/DD/YYYY 02/26/2026
Weekly MM/DD/YYYY - MM/DD/YYYY 02/23/2026 - 03/01/2026
Monthly MM/YYYY 02/2026

Per-group overrides

You can override Facebook posting settings for individual groups from the group details page. Click Social Settings in the header options menu to control whether photos post to Facebook and whether they appear in the page feed — just for that group. You can also set a custom caption that overrides the room's default template.

This is useful when you want to skip posting for a private event or customize the caption for a special occasion.

Disconnecting

Scroll to Disconnect Facebook at the bottom and click the button. Confirming removes the connection. Your album frequency and feed posting preferences are preserved so you don't have to reconfigure them if you reconnect.

Common Mistake: Facebook access tokens can become invalid if you change your Facebook password, revoke app permissions, or make security changes. Use Test Connection periodically. If the test fails, reconnect.
