Player Insights

Track player volume, returning visitors, and per-room escape metrics with automatic period-over-period comparison charts

The Players view answers your most important daily question: how many players came in, and how does that compare to last period? See total volume, returning visitor rates, and per-room escape metrics — all with automatic prior-period comparison so trends are visible at a glance.

Go to Insights in the sidebar and select the Players tab (selected by default).

Player count summary

At the top, a summary card shows:

  • Total player count for the current period
  • Prior period total for comparison
  • Percentage change — green for increase, orange for decrease, gray for no change
  • Returning players — count and percentage of players who've visited before

Player count chart

A line chart plots daily player counts with three lines:

  • Current period (solid blue with fill)
  • Prior period (solid gray with fill)
  • Returning players (dashed gray line)

Hover over any point to update the summary card with that day's values.

Player count by room

A stacked area chart shows player distribution across rooms over time. On desktop, a pie chart beside it shows room distribution for the hovered date.

Below the charts, each room has a detail card showing:

  • Players — Total count for the period
  • Escape Rate — Percentage of groups that escaped
  • Avg Time — Average escape time
  • Avg Clues — Average clues used (hidden if no clue data exists)
  • Sparkline — Current vs. prior period trend

Pro Tip: Compare room cards side by side to spot your strongest performer. If one room has a significantly higher escape rate, consider adjusting its difficulty or game time to keep it challenging — or lean into it as your "first-timer" recommendation.
