Players

The Players Page

Search your full customer database by name, email, room, tag, or date — filter and find any player in seconds

Every waiver signature and group visit builds a player record in Escape Kit. The Players page is where you search, filter, and browse your full customer database — look up a returning guest by name, find everyone who played a specific room, or build a filtered segment for your next email campaign.

Go to Players in the sidebar. The page starts with a quick search bar — enter a name or email to get started, or open the Advanced Search for more specific filters.

Finding players

Type a name or email into the quick search bar and press Enter. The search matches against first name, last name, email, and full name (even without spaces — searching "johnsmith" finds "John Smith").

Press Cmd+F (Mac) or Ctrl+F (Windows) to jump straight to the Advanced Search drawer. Press Cmd+K or Ctrl+K to clear all active filters.

Behind the Scenes: The Players page intentionally starts empty — you need at least one search term or filter before results appear. This keeps the page fast even with thousands of player records.

Click the search icon or use the keyboard shortcut to open the Advanced Search drawer. Available filters:

First Name
Contacts whose first name contains the text (case-insensitive).
Last Name
Contacts whose last name contains the text (case-insensitive).
Minor Name
Contacts who have a minor with a matching name.
Email
Contacts whose email contains the text (case-insensitive).
Rooms
Multi-select. Contacts who have played any of the selected rooms.
Tags
Multi-select. Contacts who have any of the selected tags.
Date Played
From/To date range. Contacts with a group date within the range.
Date Added
From/To date range. Contacts with a waiver signature within the range.
Opted in to marketing emails
Checkbox. Only contacts who opted in to marketing.

Combining filters with AND / OR

Below the filters, choose how to combine them:

  • AND — All filters must match. A contact must satisfy every active filter to appear.
  • OR — Any filter matches. A contact appears if it satisfies at least one active filter.

Click Apply Filters to run the search. Active filter badges appear below the header showing your criteria and the total result count. Click Clear All to remove all filters.

Pro Tip: Use AND mode when you need a precise segment — for example, players who played a specific room AND have a "VIP" tag. Use OR mode when you want a broader set.

Reading the results table

Each row in the results table shows:

Column What it shows
Name Full name. A visit count badge appears for returning customers.
Email Email address, or "N/A" if not provided.
Phone Phone number, or "N/A" if not provided.
Last Played Date and time of their most recent group.
Signed Waiver "View" link to the signed waiver PDF, or a dash if none exists.
Rooms Played Room badges (first two shown, hover for the rest).
Tags Tag badges (first two shown, hover for the rest).

When you search by minor name, matching minors appear as their own rows labeled with a "minor" badge. Results load as you scroll — 25 contacts per page.

Pro Tip: The Rooms Played column is a quick way to recommend a customer's next room. If they've played two of your four rooms, you know exactly which ones to suggest.
